asked the Minister for Communications the reason an increase of 84 per cent is being estimated for consultancy services in his Department for 1986; and the way in which the additional £171,000 will be spent.
Written Answers. - Consultancy Services.
Most consultancy projects conducted for my Department are short term assignments completed within the one year accounting period, and the Vote provision may vary from year to year. In 1986 provision is being made for a number of assignments at least one of which is expected to be larger than any of those accounted for in 1985. As the consultant has not yet been appointed for the major assignment it would be premature to disclose further details about the matter at this stage.
