Vol. 364 No. 7

Written Answers. - Galway Commonage Allocation.

132.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will allow tenants who have been allocated a portion of a commonage (details supplied) in County Galway to enter the land so that they can proceed with fencing and fertilising during the coming spring; and when he hopes to be able to complete the division of this commonage as this has not been completed to date.

The Land Commission have made a compulsory partitioning order in respect of this commonage and it is now a matter for the parties concerned to complete the division of the commonage, including the carrying out of the appropriate fencing. The limited portion still owned by the Land Commission will be allotted as soon as possible.
