Vol. 364 No. 7

Written Answers. - Milk Quota Increase.

157.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason the representatives of a deceased person (details supplied) in County Kerry cannot get a substantial increase in a milk quota in respect of milk supplied to Kerry Co-op; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A notice by the Department published in the national newspapers stated specifically that, unless applications for an additional quota were made to the appropriate co-operatives on or before 14 January 1985, producers would render themselves ineligible to obtain a quota from the national reserve. The application in this case was received after the closing date and was, therefore, ineligible.
