asked the Minister for Education the proposals he has for the provision of extra classroom facilities for Corpus Christi national school, Moyross, Limerick; when these will be implemented; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

asked the Minister for Education when final approval will issue for the commencement of phase 2 of the building scheme for the Corpus Christi school, Moyross, Limerick.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 193 and 194 together.

The position is that my Department is in correspondence with the school with regard to a revision of the costings for the proposed extension to the Corpus Christi national school, Moyross, Limerick. On receipt of satisfactory cost estimates, the way will be clear for the preparation of the detailed documentation for tendering purposes. I am not in a position at this stage to say when it may be possible to commence the project.

asked the Minister for Education if he has received a request for additional facilities and improvements for Castleconnell national school, County Limerick; the proposals he has in this regard and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Contract documents for a proposed extension to Castleconnell national school, County Limerick, have been completed.

The question of inviting tenders for the project is at present under consideration in my Department. A decision on the matter will be conveyed as soon as possible to the school authorities.
