Cases, such as that of the area superintendents, are covered by a package of proposals on the 25th round and other pay related matters which emerged from negotiations with certain public service groups. At a meeting of the general council under the Civil Service conciliation and arbitration scheme on Wednesday, 19 March the official side indicated that this package was available to the individual unions comprising the staff side of the council for consideration by their members in the normal way. I do not propose, therefore, to make any further comment at this time on the position of area superintendents.
