Vol. 365 No. 1

Written Answers. - Doonbeg (Clare) All-Weather Harbour.

138.

asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry if he has received a copy of a report on the development of an all-weather harbour at Doonbeg, County Clare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has recently received a copy of a report prepared by the Clare county engineer on the future development of the fishing industry in County Clare. The report which is at present being examined in my Department includes a proposal for the provision of an all-weather harbour at Doonbeg. Pending completion of the examination of this report I cannot say what action would be justified as regards the provision of an all-weather harbour at Doonbeg.
