Vol. 365 No. 1

Written Answers. - Louth County Hospital.

163.

asked the Minister for Health the plans he has to improve the space required by the radiology department at Louth County Hospital, Dundalk; if he will agree that the existing arrangement for staff and patients is inadequate; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The North Eastern Health Board has submitted proposals to my Department for developments at Louth County Hospital, including improvements to the radiology department and these proposals are currently being examined in the Department.

The existing arrangement for staff and patients at the hospital is a matter for the board in the first instance. In view of the current limitations on capital funds I cannot say at this stage when it will be possible to provide an extension to the radiology department.
