Matters arising in the determination of eligibility for medical cards in individual cases are the responsibility of the chief executive officer of the appropriate health board. I have therefore referred the Deputys inquiry to the chief executive officer of the North Eastern Health Board for his direct reply to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
