asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the plans, if any, he has for the creation of industrial jobs in Bantry, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

, Limerick East): I am informed that the Industrial Development Authority is actively promoting Bantry for industrial projects. During 1985 a total of nine small industry projects were approved grant assistance in the BantryGlengariff-Durrus area of County Cork and two further projects have been approved grant assistance to date in 1986. On 7 February last the Taoiseach, as part of the special development package for west Cork, announced the provision of an enterprise centre in Bantry and a business development scheme for equity investment. Details of these proposals will be announced shortly by the Minister of State at the Department of the Public Service.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the plans, if any, he has for the provision of industrial jobs in Skibbereen, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

, Limerick East): I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that it is actively promoting Skibbereen for industrial projects. During 1985, three small industry projects with an employment potential of 13 were approved grant assistance in Skibbereen Union Hall. The IDA has 11.5 acres of land available for industrial development in the town.
