As has previously been indicated in reply to Parliamentary Questions of this nature, my Department is not directly involved in the holding of competitions for entry to the Garda Síochána or the calling up of candidates. I regret that I am unable to undertake to give information by way of reply to Parliamentary Questions in relation to the position of individual candidates. Any such information can be sought by candidates themselves, or on their behalf, from the Garda authorities who will supply details in so far as it may be possible to do so at any particular time, but it will be appreciated that such information may not be available.
