Vol. 365 No. 6

Written Answers. - House Improvement Grant Application.

27.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in advising a person (details supplied) in County Limerick of the details of the grant she will receive in respect of her house improvement grant application; when this will be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This application is among those covered by the dispensation from the prior inspection requirement. A letter issued to the applicant on 7 March 1986, authorising her to proceed with the work in respect of which her application had been made, i.e., the carrying out of works under the special grant for pre-1940 dwellings. However, in view of information supplied by the Deputy, an inspection is being arranged with a view to determining the amount of the grant.
