The minimum areas required for the various sizes of community colleges would be the relevant areas indicated above plus whatever area in each case is required for access and circulation within the school site. This latter area would vary depending on the characteristics of the site, the type of school design and the nature of the access from the public thoroughfare. Smaller areas would apply in the case of multi-storey buildings.
Provision of playing fields is not part of normal school provision. Where provided this facility is not necessarily located at the main school complex but can frequently be located some distance away.
