Vol. 367 No. 1

Written Answers. - Mulcair (Limerick) Drainage.

83.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position with regard to the drainage of the Mulcair River, County Limerick.

Work on the design of a drainage scheme for the Mulcair Catchment was suspended following a Government decision to halt all arterial drainage planning pending the outcome of a review of arterial drainage policy. The review, prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works, is under consideration in my Department. In the circumstances, I cannot say when a scheme for the catchment might commence.
