Vol. 367 No. 5

Written Answers. - Donaghmede (Dublin) Schools.

163.

asked the Minister for Education if he has now made a decision to sanction funds for the roofs at Holy Trinity schools, Donaghmede, Dublin 13, and for remedial works to the structure of the school hall in view of the refusal of the original architect/project manager to respond in writing to numerous queries from the chairman of the board of management; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has under consideration an application for grant aid in respect of improvement works at Holy Trinity national schools, Donaghmede, Dublin 13, together with detailed reports prepared by the school authorities' professional advisers, but has not yet made any decision on the matter.

My Department will be unable to finalise its examination of this application until the school authorities submit a report from their original consultants as to why various works of a capital nature are now required in these schools. The school authorities have been asked by my Department to furnish such report and their reply is awaited.
