Vol. 367 No. 5

Written Answers. - Disabled Persons Maintenance Allowance.

98.

asked the Minister for Health the present position of the application of a person (details supplied) in County Cork for a disabled persons maintenance allowance which was submitted to the Southern Health Board in April of this year, the reason there has been such delay in this case; and when he will receive the allowance.

An official of the Southern Health Board has called to the applicant's home on numerous occasions to carry out a means test but the house has been vacant at each visit. The board has now written to the applicant asking him to make an appointment with the local community welfare officer so that his application can be processed.
