There is no record of any insurable employment for her in this country since then.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether a person (details supplied) in County Galway is in receipt of full social welfare payments.

The person concerned claimed disability benefit from 22 October 1985 and is currently being paid at the weekly rate of £39.50, the maximum rate appropriate to a single person.

The records of the Department show that payment appears to have been issued at regular weekly intervals on receipt of weekly medical evidence and all benefit payable has been issued to date. She does not qualify for payment of pay-related benefit as she had insufficient earnings in the relevant income tax year, 1983-84.

68.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason an appeals officer disallowed the appeal lodged by a person (details supplied) in County Kerry against the decision to refuse to pay him a family income supplement in view of the fact that he has been in full time employment as a night porter in a hotel seven nights per week for the past nine years with the exception of five weeks leave each year while the hotel is closed for renovation.

The claim for family income supplement received on 10 March 1986 was disallowed on the ground that the person concerned was not then engaged in full time employment. The decision was based on the information supplied in the claim form.

It has since been ascertained that the claimant had resumed employment on 4 March 1986, having been in receipt of unemployment benefit since 10 December 1985. He was not entitled to a family income supplement on means grounds on the date of claim but is entitled to £1 weekly from 10 April 1986, the date on which new upper earnings limits came into effect.

The decision has been revised accordingly and arrangements are being made for payment of the supplement and arrears.
