Vol. 367 No. 8

Written Answers. - Leinster House Maintenance Staff Accommodation.

100.

asked the Minister for Finance the purpose for which the portacabins located in the fisheries yard of Leinster House are being used or are intended to be used; their total cost; and whether they have been purchased or rented.

The long-term intention is to provide permanent facilities for the maintenance staff at Leinster House. Pending the provision of those permanent facilities, portacabins have been installed as a temporary measure.

The portacabins are only partially used at present, but it is hoped to have more extended use in the near future. They are being rented at a cost of £736.66 a month, and the question of outright purchase will be examined in the light of developments.
