Vol. 368 No. 5

Written Answers. - Limerick Corporation Shop Repairs.

58.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will make a decision on whether to allocate finance to Limerick Corporation, to carry out essential repairs to the corporation shops at Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick City.

The refurbishment of shops owned by local authorities is their responsibility and there are no special funds available to me which could be allocated to this purpose. The corporation's proposals, however, also include dwellings, and the conversion of some shops into dwellings, and are under examination in my Department. I will notify Limerick Corporation of my decision as soon as possible.
