Vol. 368 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin School.

24.

asked the Minister for Education if, arising from his reply of 15 May, a site more suitably located for the new junior school at Balgaddy has been indicated to his Department; if the contract for the first part of the new junior school has been placed; and, if so, when construction of the new school will commence.

My Department are dependent on the local school authorities to offer a more suitably located site for the new junior school at Balgaddy, County Dublin, and understand that the matter is receiving their attention in consultation with their central diocesan office. Until this matter is resolved it will not be possible to set the necessary arrangements in hands for the placing of a contract for the first part of the new national school. I am not therefore in a position to say when building works may commence.

The House will now deal with questions nominated for priority.
