Vol. 369 No. 1

Written Answers. - Teamwork Scheme.

468.

asked the Minister for Labour the reason the five community based groups, members of the umbrella group network for jobs, have been refused grants under the Teamwork scheme; and if their applications will be reviewed.

Four of the applications referred to were not considered as they had already been approved for a planning grant from the Youth Employment Agency under which a feasibility study is being carried out at present regarding the commencial potential of the proposals contained in the applications.

The fifth proposal, involving the publication of a magazine for the over 55's was rejected for a number of reasons. The application failed to meet the criteria for grant aid under the Teamwork scheme including those relating to the non-commercial nature of projects. There are no plans for any of the applications to be reviewed under Teamwork.
