Further consideration will be given to this proposal on receipt of the revised design requested from the group last July, following a meeting involving the group, Galway County Council and my Department. The group has also been requested to clarify the proposed daily flows in the scheme.
This group scheme cannot proceed until stage 2 of the Mid-Galway regional scheme, for which I recently approved the acceptance of tenders by the council, has been completed.
