asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of revenue collected by each local authority for motor taxation in the last year for which figures are available.

The amount of revenue collected by each licensing authority in 1985 for motor tax is set out in the following table. For comparative purposes, I am also setting out details of the total amount of State grants for road purposes made available to each of the authorities by my Department this year.
