Vol. 369 No. 4

Written Answers. - Bray Flood Damage Compensation.

17.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will state in relation to householders in Bray who suffered severe damage in the flood of 25 August last, the steps being taken to ensure that they are compensated for damage to their houses and for the loss or damage of contents of their homes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply to Question No. 58 of 23 October 1986. Householders in Bray affected by the flooding have been assisted on the basis set out in that reply and I understand that an extensive programme of repairs and other structural works have been carried out.
