The bills of quantities for the Castleknock project have been examined and the consultants have been requested by my Department to make certain amendments to these bills. Subject to these amendments being cleared, I can confirm that tenders will be invited by the end of this month. It is not possible at this stage to give precise dates for the commencement and completion of construction. You can be assured, however, that should the need arise in September 1987 my Department will make satisfactory arrangements to accommodate the pupils if the new school is not ready for occupation at that time.
