Vol. 369 No. 8

Written Answers. - Tax Free Allowance.

115.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax-free allowance and PRSI number will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will ensure that the Revenue Commissioners expedite his tax affairs on a proper basis.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that, following the recent receipt of outstanding details of his employment from the taxpayer and his employer, a certificate of tax free allowances, quoting the correct PRSI number, was issued to the taxpayer on 28 October 1986. It is understood that all the tax which had been deducted from the tax-payer's salary since the date he commenced employment has now been refunded to him by the employer.
