Vol. 369 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Offaly Block Grants.

130.

Mr. Cowen

asked the Minister for Finance if he will arrange for immediate repairs to be carried out by the Office of Public Works on the canal line from Killiskea to Tullamore, County Offaly in view of the fact that this stretch of roadway is now impassable.

The Commissioners of Public Works have no immediate plans to carry out repairs to the road in question which is not a public road but a canal towpath. However, they would have no objection to the road users carrying out repairs, as they have done previously, or to Offaly County Council carrying out such repairs.
