Vol. 370 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

169.

asked the Minister for Education when he will pay moneys under the face lift grant scheme to the Horeswood Boy Scouts, County Wexford, in respect of refurbishing of their scout den.

An application for capital grant assistance, under the face lift grant scheme, towards the repair and renovation of a scout den was received on behalf of the 12th Wexford Catholic Boy Scouts of Ireland, Horeswood, Campile, County Wexford on 22 November 1985.

This project was not among the limited number allocated financial assistance this year in accordance with the requirements and conditions of the scheme.

In view of the great number of capital grant applications for consideration by my Department and pending decision in regard to the financial provision for this service — particularly in relation to the availability of funds for new projects — for the coming year, it is not open to me at this stage to make a commitment to allocate a grant in respect of any further projects.
