Vol. 370 No. 15

Written Answers. - Naomh Éanna.

99.

asked the Minister for Communications an estimate of the safe sea-life of mv Naomh Éanna.

It is not possible to give an estimate of the safe sea-life of the mv Naomh Éanna. The Marine Survey Office of my Department surveys all passenger vessels on an annual basis and based on this survey a vessel may or may not be granted a passenger certificate for a maximum of one year. The Naomh Éanna was last granted a passenger certificate on 9 October 1986 and this is valid until 15 September 1987.
