Dáil Éireann debate -
Friday, 19 Dec 1986

Vol. 370 No. 16

Message from Seanad.

Seanad Éireann has passed the Courts (No. 3) Bill 1986 without amendment. Seanad Éireann has passed the Exchange Control (Continuance) Bill, 1986, without amendment. Seanad Éireann has passed the Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 1986 without amendment.

Deputies would wish me to note the presence in the House of Deputy Oliver Flanagan, the father of the House, who has insisted on coming from his hospital bed to perform his public duties here as he sees them. This is indicative of the dedication he has towards performing his public duties. I feel Deputies would wish me to wish Oliver a complete recovery and wish him in the meantime a happy Christmas. Deputy David Andrews has also insisted on coming from his hospital bed, in very considerable pain, to discharge his public duties as he sees them. I think Deputies would also like me to wish David a complete recovery and to wish him a happy Christmas.

Guím beannachtaí na Nollag agus athbhliain faoi shéan agus faoi mhaise oraibh go léir. Go dté sibh go léir slán sa bhliain nua.

The Dáil adjourned at 4.25 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 28 January 1987.
