Vol. 371 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Tipperary Disadvantaged Areas.

50.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of times the Slieveardagh area of County Tipperary was submitted to the Commission of the European Communities to be included in disadvantaged areas; the dates these submissions were made; the decision on each occasion; and the reasons the Slieveardagh area has not been included to date.

In accordance with previous practice, I do not propose to publish the details of the submissions made to the EC Commission on extending the boundaries of the disadvantaged areas. The position in the Slieveardagh area will, of course, be most carefully considered in the context of the forthcoming review of the boundaries of the disadvantaged areas.
