Vol. 371 No. 8

Written Answers. - Building Regulations.

191.

asked the Minister for the Environment his views on whether a self-certification system for compliance with building regulations would work in view of the Raglan House, Dublin 4, experience; and, if so, the formal supervision he envisages for such a scheme.

I am at present carefuly considering the recommendations of the Cremer and Warner Report on the gas explosion at Raglan House and its implications for any future system of building control. I am not yet in a position to say what form of control should apply to different categories of buildings.
