Vol. 371 No. 8

Written Answers. - Cannistown (Meath) School.

212.

asked the Minister for Education when the tenders for the new school at Cannistown, County Meath were invited; the closure date for receipt of tenders; if a successful tender has been chosen; when the contract will go to tender; and when work will commence.

213.

asked the Minister for Education the present position of the new national school (details supplied) in County Meath; if a tender has been accepted by her Department; and when work will commence on the building.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 212 and 213 together.

Tenders were invited on 5 December 1986 for the new national school at Cannistown, County Meath. The closing date for the tender competition was 16 January 1987. A suitable tender for the project has been received, and when the remaining formalities have been completed a contract will be placed without delay. The way should then be clear for the contractor to commence construction work.
