Vol. 371 No. 8

Written Answers. - Tax Rebate.

39.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax rebate will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Louth.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes who deals with the taxpayer's affairs has not received from the taxpayer a claim for repayment of tax. A repayment was made to the taxpayer by his employer on 1 September 1986 following the issue of an amended certificate of taxfree allowances to include life assurance relief. If the taxpayer wishes to have his liability for 1986-87 reviewed, he should forward to the inspector his form P60 (statement of pay and tax deducted) which should soon be available from his employer.
