Vol. 371 No. 8

Written Answers. - Kerry Industrial Promotion.

111.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the plans, if any, he has to attract industry to County Kerry.

I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that they are actively promoting County Kerry as a suitable location for manufacturing and internationally-traded service industries. The IDA maintains a strong presence in the county with a fulltime executive based in Tralee. Over 110,000 sq. ft. of factory space and 700 acres of land are available for new industries locating in the county.

In 1987 a series of promotional events will be held in a number of locations in the county to encourage the development of new small industry and also to maxi-mise the potential of existing enterprises.
