Vol. 372 No. 1

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 3, 9, 7, 1 and 10. It is also proposed that Nos. 9 and 7 be taken together for the purpose of debate. Private Members' Business will be No. 30.

Nos. 9 and 7 are related. Is it agreed to take them together? Agreed.

In view of the announcement in today's edition of the Evening Herald that the Irish Dental Association will refuse to treate the spouses of insured workers under the scheme announced by the Government in their budget, following the Fine Gael budget of 21 January, will the Taoiseach now reassure the 300,000 or so full-time home-makers that they will receive dental, aural and optical benefit this year?

This is hardly in order just now, without notice.

It is extremely serious. Am I not to have an answer from the Taoiseach?

I propose to raise on the Adjournment the failure of the Government to provide funding for the outdoor pursuit centre at Cappanalea, County Kerry.

I will communicate with Deputy Spring.

I wish to raise on the Adjournment the impact of the health cuts on the future development of the County Hospital, Naas, with particular reference to the embargo on staff recruitment.

I will communicate with the Deputy.

I should like to raise on the Adjournment the subject matter of the question I have just asked regarding dental and optical benefit.

I will communicate with Deputy Hussey in the matter.
