Vol. 372 No. 1

Written Answers. - Orthopaedic Facilities.

575.

asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will undergo an orthopaedic operation; if he is aware of the lack of facilities to perform such operations and the proposals he has to rectify the matter.

The information requested for the person in question is not readily available on a routine basis to my Department. I am sure that if the Deputy directs his question to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board he will be pleased to provide him with that information.

The developments approved for Ardkeen Regional Hospital Waterford and Wexford General Hospital, and planned for St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, will lead to an improvement in orthopaedic services for the South-Eastern Health Board area as a whole.
