asked the Minister for Finance the proportion of the £2,813 million provision for public service pay and pensions for 1987 which will be allocated in pensions; and the number of recipients.
Written Answers. - Public Service Pensions.
83.
The net cost of pensions (excluding lump sums and gratuities) amounts to £155 million out of the total net 1987 provision for public service pay and pensions of £2,813 million. The number of recipients of these pensions is 51,500.
The above figures exclude State bodies and local authorities which do not receive specific Exchequer funds for pension purposes.
