Vol. 372 No. 7

Written Answers. - Customs Surveillance.

16.

asked the Minister for Finance the additional expenditure he anticipates in relation to increased customs surveillance and examination of travellers and vehicles consequent on the new restrictions on importation of goods for travellers from Northern Ireland.

It is not expected that there will be any additional expenditure in relation to the increased customs surveillance. The new measures are being implemented by way of redeployment of existing staff resources.
