Vol. 372 No. 7

Written Answers. - Dublin Port.

33.

asked the Minister for Finance if EC funds have been sought for port development; if Dublin port was listed as one of those requiring redevelopment; when any such application was made; if EC funds were forthcoming, where the funds were allocated; and if it is intended to seek further funds for the requirements of Dublin port.

Assistance from the European Regional Development Fund has been applied for and received for development work at Cork Harbour. Should any project be undertaken in Dublin port that might be eligible for European Regional Development Fund assistance my Department would, of course, be prepared to submit an application in respect of such a project for consideration for fund aid.
