Vol. 372 No. 7

Written Answers. - VAT Returns.

65.

asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to reports that the Revenue Commissioners are ignoring outstanding VAT debts provided the VAT in question is owed for more than three years; if these reports are correct, if this action is being taken as a result of any Ministerial directive or Government decision; whether he supports such a course of action by the Revenue Commissioners; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I would invite the Deputy's attention to my replies to questions by Deputies Proinsias De Rossa, Richard Bruton, Sean Barrett, Michael Noonan, Michael Alexander McDowell on today's Order Paper.
