Vol. 372 No. 7

Written Answers. - Application for Naturalisation.

73.

asked the Minister for Justice (a) the reason for the delay in the processing of an application for Irish citizenship from a person (details supplied) in County Meath; (b) the progress of the application to date; and (c) when he expects citizenship to be granted.

An application for naturalisation in this case was received in August 1986. On the basis of information supplied by the applicant, it was decided in December 1986 to defer the application and the Deputy was informed by my predecessor. The case is currently being reviewed and I expect to give my decision very shortly.
