As the applicant did not supply necessary details relating to the carrying out of the work as requested on 9 December 1986 an inspection did not take place on or before 27 March 1987 and accordingly a grant cannot be allowed.

This application had to be rejected in January 1987 as the required waiting period had not expired since payment of a previous reconstruction grant. Normally, a house which incorporated part of an existing structure could not be considered to be a new house and would not, therefore, attract a new house grant. However, if an application and supporting documentation is submitted, it will be considered on its merits.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application from the person named at the address given. However, there is an application from a person with a slightly different name from the same address. In that case grants totalling £2,800 have been approved and notification of completion of the work has not been received.
