Vol. 372 No. 8

Written Answers. - Tallaght (Dublin) Hospital.

128.

asked the Minister for Health if he intends to build a new hospital at Tallaght, Dublin 24; if so, when work on the construction of this facility will commence; the expected date the hospital will accept their first patient: and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It is estimated that the construction work on the Tallaght hospital will begin in 1989. The development is to take place on a phased basis. The first phase which will have about 450 beds is expected to be completed in 1992-93. It is not possible to state at this stage when exactly the hospital will be in a position to accept its first patient.
