Vol. 372 No. 11

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

100.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a house improvement grant for the replacement of windows has been granted to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and if it is necessary to have all the windows replaced in order to qualify.

There is no record of the receipt of an application from the person named. However, an application was received from a person with a different Christian name from the same address. In that case the application was among those covered by the dispensation from prior inspection announced in February 1986. Notification issued to the applicant authorising him to proceed with the work in respect of which his application was made subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than prior inspection requirement) applicable when he applied for the grant. In view of the query now raised by the Deputy, an inspection will be carried out for the purposes of clarifying for the applicant the extent of the works which it will be necessary to undertake.
