It is accepted that the existing employment exchange premises in Newbridge are inadequate and every effort is being made to improve the position in this respect. The Office of Public Works has recently purchased a site in Newbridge for a new purpose-built employment exchange and design plans for the new premises have been agreed with that office. Work on the erection of the new building is expected to commence next autumn.
