The information requested by the Deputy in respect of RTE is published in the authority's annual accounts, copies of which have been placed in the Library and is as follows: Year ended 30 September 1982, £337,383; Year ended 30 September 1986, £3,245,379 (£2.3 million of which is attributable to a subsidiary company)
This information is not however contained in the published accounts of the other State bodies under my aegis, i.e. An Post and Bord Telecom Éireann. Since it is the judgment of the auditors and directors of these bodies not to publish this information it would be inappropriate for me to do so.
