Vol. 373 No. 3

Written Answers. - Louth Speed Limit.

42.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a decision will be made regarding the speed limit submission made by the Louth County Council in 1985; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Louth County Council have submitted proposals to the Department for a general revision of speed limits throughout County Louth. The council's proposals have been augmented by proposals from Drogheda Corporation to revise the speed limits applying in the corporation's functional area. Confirmation of the consent of the Garda Síochána to these latter proposals has now been received in the Department and arrangements are being made for the making of regulations for the county as a whole.
