Vol. 373 No. 3

Written Answers. - Social Employment Scheme.

80.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will give details of all social employment schemes sanctioned since 1 April 1986, to date in County Waterford.

81.

asked the Minister for Labour the number of social employment schemes proposed for County Waterford this year; and details of same.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 80 and 81 together.

Information in the form requested by the Deputy is not available. Statistics on the social employment scheme are at present compiled on the basis of NMS regions and it would not be possible without an inordinate amount of work to give detailed information on projects in individual counties.

The south-east region of the National Manpower Service which includes Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Tipperary South Riding, has been allocated a quota, under the scheme, of 1,244 man-years of employment for 1987.
