Vol. 373 No. 3

Written Answers. - Payment of DPMA Allowance.

83.

asked the Minister for Health the amount of disabled persons maintenance allowance payable to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who has been entitled to payment since 1985; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The amount of disabled person's maintenance allowance payable in any individual case is a matter for determination by the health board concerned, having regard to all the relevant circumstances in that case.

I have had inquiries made from the Eastern Health Board in this case and I have been informed that the person concerned has been granted the full rate of disabled person's maintenance allowance (£43.20 per week) with effect from the date the board completed their medical report on the applicant.
