Vol. 373 No. 3

Written Answers. - Nuclear Disaster Plans.

86.

asked the Minister for Health the emergency plans, if any, he has for immediate health care in the event of a nuclear disaster.

In the event of a nuclear or other major disaster, immediate health care would be provided by the health boards under their major emergency plans. These plans were drawn up having regard to the framework plan approved by Government in November 1984 and following consultation with the other emergency services.
